job_description.job_card.job_descriptionProvide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access and / or suspicious behavior. Maintain a visible presence to help to deter criminal and / or disruptive activity. Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and / or law enforcement as required. Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities. Follow all protocols for handling firearms while on duty as an armed patrol officer. Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent. An armed guard card or license is required. At least 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience is required. A corrections officer license is required. A law enforcement officer license is required. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
