Job Summary
The Engage Upstate unit at USC Upstate seeks a Graduate Assistant to support our Community Engagement efforts. The GA will be responsible for collecting & entering data on the Service Learning and Community Engagement activities at USC Upstate. Using the Collaboratory database, the GA will analyze activities and provide meaningful descriptions of activity area and community impact in consistent ways that enable tracking and analysis of community engagement patterns. Critical thinking & interpersonal communication skills are critical as the GA will collect, categorize, validate, and update data about CE projects led by faculty and staff in every division across campus & advocate for the project. The community-based nuances of the data lead us to target GAs from Education. Qualifications - Detail-oriented with strong knowledge of spelling and grammar conventions- Professional in F2F, virtual, and electronic communication- Proficient in Microsoft Word- Comfortable with computer-based tasks : Working in the user-end of an intermediately complex web-based software, checking Microsoft Forms results, using split-screen to keep track of different tabs containing information needed to enter data, searching university and public Websites for missing details such as contact information, cropping images, etc.- Knowledge of higher education structures and service-learning / community engagement preferred Posting Detail Information
