Structural CAD Designer / Drafter

Introduction

Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Structural CAD Design / Drafter position. This position is a contract-to- direct hire, which will be on-site in the Lakeland, FL area.

Summary

The Structural CAD Design / Drafter will be responsible for creating CAD designs, using Autocad. Although 3D design experience is strongly preferred, training is available for someone who may not be as proficient with 3D, but is capable on 2D and has some structural experience.

Training will be given with the goal to elevate a junior designer / drafter to a senior level member of this engineering team.

Job Description : Extensive use of CAD to provide revisions and mark-ups within structural drawings. These may include structural steel braces, towers, piping supports and other structural components. Candidates with good CAD skills and willingness to embrace the learning of this design will be strongly considered.

Qualified candidates would have the following :

Experienced with Autocad (preferably 3D, but at minimum strong 2D skills)

Experienced or at least familiar with structural components and design of mechanical components.

Willingness to learn from training and improve skills for a potential long-term career.
