Assistant Vice President
The Assistant Vice President is responsible for providing leadership and integrative management for operational units and collaborative guidance and direction for all aspects of the Colleges shared information and technology services.
Job duties specific to this position include :
- Guiding and overseeing the institutional information technology budgeting process.
- Informing and assisting the process of determining priorities, projects, and future directions of the Colleges IT functions.
- Providing direction and coordinating the review of current IT systems.
- Championing and guiding the development of IT plans, standards, and policies.
- Managing the daily operations of the Information Technology resources.
- Promoting a strong customer service orientation within the IT organization.
- Advancing enterprise risk management practices.
- Supporting a culture of assessment and data-informed decision making.
- Providing guidance and counsel to executive officers on information systems.
- Overseeing the integrity and cyber security of networks, servers, and hardware devices.
- Providing direct or indirect supervision of professional and technical staff.
- Exploring and advancing sustainability through collaboration.
- Conducting performance appraisals and managing professional development.
- Maintaining and enhancing collaborative relationships with other professionals.
- Managing relationships with external suppliers.
- Maintaining knowledge of current and developing information systems technology.

Masters degree in business administration, information systems, or equivalent academic preparation.10 or more years of progressive experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Strategic thinker with an open and collaborative style of leadership.Attentiveness to detail.Knowledge and understanding of the academic and administrative functions of a College.Ability to direct multi-department technical and administrative staff.Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.Ability to provide strategic guidance and counsel to clientele.Knowledge of current trends and developments in Information Technology.Significant technical knowledge and experience in several areas of IT operations.Knowledge of financial / business analysis techniques.Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management.Experience designing, implementing, and / or managing a variety of information and technologies systems.Le Moyne Benefits include :
