The Human Resource Specilaist is responsible for various clerical and human resource administration at the facility, including payroll, new hire orientation, benefits, recruiting benefits, receptionist duties, processing accounts payables and other duties assigned etc. The person holding this position is delegated the responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current existing federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsible for accurate and timely payroll and time clock processing.
Answers employee questions and concerns.
Conducts new hire onboarding. Ensures all new hire paperwork and pre- hire verifications are complete.
Orients employees on new hire information, policies, procedures, and benefit plans to ensure individuals have an understanding of facility culture, benefits and expectations.
Verifies and maintains license certifications, criminal background checks, nurse aide registry checks and recertification.
Maintains personnel files including training, TB, personal change forms, and all required state information’s in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
Assists in hiring process by ensuring all job postings are active, reviewing resumes and sending them to the hiring managers, and ensures all staffing needs are met.
Maintains job applications and resumes in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
Initiates and monitors all FMLA leave and ADA requests.
Assists in monitoring and implementing turnover reduction programs.
Ensures all employee incidents and accidents are reported and processed properly to the Worker’s Compensation representative within 24 hours of the accident.
Maintains and manages all Worker’s Compensation claims, files, logs and reports including the OSHA log.
Responsible for ordering and documentation of uniform distribution.
Assists in investigations and reporting employee relations situations.
Ensures all termination are in accordance with facility policy and procedures, all required documentation is collected, exit interview forms are complete, all facility property is collected, and any payables due to the facility are deducted from employee’s last pay.
Tracks the due evaluations and yearly required training and notifies department managers of due dates.
Assists employees and supervisors with interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
Oversees, adheres, and tracks all employee incentive and bonus programs.
Attends departmental meetings, in-services, and educational opportunities.
Advocate and ensure employee engagement activities are being done every month.
Assists in notifying department heads and monitoring overtime reduction.
