Position Summary : The Retail Technology Specialist will be responsible for the service and maintenance of computer and related equipment. They will provide a technical and hands on approach to given tasks, exceptional customer service, communicate effectively with the Help Desk and End Users, as well as complete regular written reports. This position is full-time with some after-hours work and on-call responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities : The Retail Technology Specialist responsibilities Includes the following and other duties as assigned :
Remote Support
Must be able to remote support end users via the telephone and remote tools regarding hardware and software issues.
Maintain Workplace Items
Deploy, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems and peripherals ( pole displays, touch screen monitors, receipt printers), intercom systems ( speakers, amplifiers, cabling), server rack equipment ( uninterruptible power supply, patch panels, and other equipment stored within rack), industrial label printers, and laser printers.
Maintain Goodwill Software
Troubleshooting of application errors for custom software, network connectivity errors, POTS telephone faults, and electrical / mechanical faults.

Travel Requirements : Requires maximum of 30% in state travel, a reliable vehicle is required.
Supervisory Responsibilities : Not required for this position
Cultural Competency : Demonstrate cultural competence; specifically, awareness, attitude, knowledge, willingness and skills to work effectively with a culturally and demographically diverse population
Language Skills : Fluent in English, both written and spoken. As well as the ability to translate technical knowledge into layman’s terms.
Mathematical Skills : Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as : addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and average. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra when working on spreadsheets. Ability to create and manage departmental budget.
Computer Skills : To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel and PowerPoint.
Other Skills and Abilities : Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of a Retail Technology Specialist.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations : Washington State Driver’s License required
Other Qualifications : Self-motivated; resourceful, creative; high integrity; problem solver; looks to resolve issues; positive can-do approach; and ability to build effective working relationships.
Physical Demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear and type. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Work Environment : Retail and Production Environments. Business hours / afterhours / weekend support will be required at times.
