Role Summary

The Cellular Mediated Immunity (CMI) Analyst supports the Viral Vaccines team by performing laboratory assays to evaluate T and B cell responses to vaccine candidates. Responsibilities include animal tissue processing, conducting cell culture experiments in BSL-, preparing samples for flow cytometry, staining, acquisition in spectral flow cytometers, data analysis using FlowJo, OMIQ, GraphPad Prism, and presenting data in internal meetings.

Role Responsibilities

Conduct assays to monitor immune responses and document laboratory work in electronic notebooks

Maintain cell lines, process tissues (spleens, lymph nodes, PBMCs), prepare samples for testing, and assist with molecular and virology work

Ensure compliance with SOPs, cGLP, and / or cGMP guidelines; execute qualifications and validations of new instruments and methods

Collaborate with team members and contribute to work group goals

Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and apply technical skills to assignments based on departmental priorities

Solve moderately complex problems by choosing between alternatives and following general instructions

Identify and report experimental issues, troubleshoot with supervision, and train other analysts on established techniques

Qualifications

BA / BS with + years of experience or MBA / MS with relevant experience

Hands-on experience in cell culture and cell-based assays

Experience in flow cytometry and data analysis using FlowJo, OMIQ, etc.

Proficient in molecular biology techniques, mammalian cell culture, and tissue processing

Strong skills in experimental design and interpretation

Effective verbal / written communication and ability to work collaboratively in a team

Proficiency in MS Office tools and scientific software
