Position : Certified Medical Coder
Location : Norwood Office
Schedule : Hybrid, 1 day in office, 4 days remote after in office training.
Pay : $20-25+

Responsibilities :
As a Medical Coder at Riverhills Neuroscience, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our billing processes. Your responsibilities include :
Properly coding physician visits / encounters (CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10) based on supportive chart documentation.Review hospital, office, and procedure operative / progress notes and charges for compliance and accuracy.Performing charge entry / data entry into a computerized billing management system.Researching and obtaining necessary documentation / information from provider / office to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely coding and charge entry.Assisting with research for denied claims & appeals; medical coverage policy / medical necessity.All other duties as assigned.Background and Experience
Certified Coding (CPC) experience required. Experience in physician, specialty, surgical, hospital or pain management setting preferred.Minimum three (3) years EHR / EMR (preferably Greenway and / or Epic) and Practice Management experience in a healthcare setting.Current & active Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification accredited by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) is required. If currently not CPC certified in ICD10, ICD-10 certification required within 3 months of hire.Proficient understanding and knowledge of the CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting.Detailed knowledge of medical & anatomical terminology.Detailed knowledge of HIPAA confidentiality & privacy regulations.Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.If you're eager to contribute to a world-class healthcare team, apply today.
