Security Officer- (Driving)

Must possess a valid drivers license (must meet minimum criteria of Childrens Minnesota Fleet Safety Management policy).

• Must be able to successfully pass background checks of the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) and Department of Human Services (DHS).
• Must be able to prepare verbal and written reports.
• Good verbal writing and computer skills required.
• Must complete and pass use of force training within 30 days of hire.
• Must complete and pass Basic Life Support (BLS) and Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) training within 90 days of hire.
• Must be able to wear respiratory protection (N-95 respirator full face respirator and PAPR) be fit tested and able to pass respirator physical.

Proudly serving as Minnesotas childrens hospital since 1924 Childrens Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota is the eighth-largest pediatric health care organization in the U.S. Each year Childrens provides care through nearly 13000 inpatient visits and more than 200000 emergency room and other outpatient visits. Position Summary

The Security Officer position is responsible for the day to day activities of ensuring a safe and secure Childrens campus. The Security Officer will maintain a safe environment through patrol of the hospital grounds and outlying buildings. He / She will respond to all calls both emergency and non-emergency as they occur or in order of importance. The Security Officers core role is to promote a safe environment for patients visitors and hospital employees.
