Must have the ability to take initiative and to exercise good judgement and decision- making Problem solving, critical thinking, conflict management, negotiation and personal development Licensure / Certification / Registration Required : CPC, RHIT, CCS, COC or CIC (must be obtained within 3 months of hire) Preferred : CPPM or RHIA
Summary
- Reporting to the Director of Coding / CDI / UR (facility services), the Manager of Coding HIM is responsible for the daily operations for both the acute services within CoxHealth. This is outpatient for all hospitals and clinics. The manager will work directly with the coding supervisors, and be a point of contact for questions from different areas. This includes managing relationships and facilitating processes and questions for the physicians and other areas our department supports. It is expected to work closely with Coding Director and support in department strategy, mentorship, tactics and improvement efforts.
