As we grow, we’re seeking a Licensed Architect with a strong background in project management and historic tax credit (HTC) documentation to join our collaborative, energetic team.
Position Overview
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and driven architect to lead projects from concept through completion—balancing creative design, technical proficiency, and rigorous documentation. The ideal candidate is passionate about preservation, adept at navigating HTC programs, and confident managing multi-phase design and construction processes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and execution of architectural projects with an emphasis on historic preservation and adaptive reuseCoordinate and manage project timelines, consultants, and budgets across all phasesPrepare and submit state and federal historic tax credit applications (Part 1, 2, and 3)Ensure compliance with Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for RehabilitationConduct site assessments and historic researchCollaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, and local / state agenciesMentor junior staff and contribute to a positive studio cultureQualifications
Licensed Architect (NCARB certification a plus)5+ years of professional experience in architecture, with at least 2 years focused on historic preservation or HTC-related projectsDemonstrated project management experience from schematic design through construction administrationProficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft OfficeFamiliarity with Section 106, SHPO coordination, and NPS standardsStrong communication, leadership, and organizational skillsPassion for revitalizing historic properties and community-oriented designWhat We Offer
