Responsibilities
As part of our pensions service department, you will help provide personalized and professional service to participants of over 700 pension plans. This may include quality-reviewing work completed by others, serving as a team resource for the handling of complex or escalated issues, processing business transactions, and performing various accounting and data collection functions. Will help deliver outstanding customer support through procedure adherence and performance. May also provide project support and / or function in a training capacity.
Perform quality reviews of transactions processed within the departmentMonitor unit processing volumes and workflows; ensure quality standards are metHighlight to management potential problems, trends, and training needs discovered through quality reviewsReview and process Power of Attorney and Guardianship requestsReview divorce decrees and QDRO documents that impact participants' pension benefits, provide suggestions for revised language (if necessary), and work with Underwriting and Legal departments to finalize QDRO documents with clientsProcess outgoing wires and incoming premium transactions ensuring all financial transactions are properly recordedPerform BlackLine reconciliations for key accounts and manage suspense agingSubmit and process EFT reclaim requests and perform research on EFT depositsWork with Accounting Operations to resolve any payment issues that ariseCommunicate with internal and external clients to collect information and expedite processingSupport internal and external audits through data collection, analysis, and reportingHelp drive continuous improvement by making enhancement recommendations for existing workflows & proceduresOther duties and responsibilities, as assignedSkills and Qualifications
College degree preferredExperience : 5-10 years' experience in insurance or financial customer service, preferably with experience in deferred and / or immediate annuity productsAttention to detail and accuracyExcellent written and oral communication skillsGood problem solving and analytical skillsConflict resolution skillsStrong customer and team orientationAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionGood sense of judgementProficient in Microsoft Office productsCompensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is $58,000 - $60,000 at the commencement of employment. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered will ultimately be dependent on multiple factors, which may include the candidate's geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications.
In addition, the position is eligible for a discretionary bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
