Sr Cyber Systems Engineer - Military Vehicle Integration

Contract Position
60.52-$67.78 / Hour
Play a critical role in shaping the cybersecurity architecture of advanced . military ground vehicles. This position leads the development and integration of cyber-physical systems across embedded platforms, ensuring cybersecurity is built into every layer of the system from design to deployment.
Responsibilities :
Exercise engineering authority over cyber-physical integration activities across vehicle systems.
Guide the development and implementation of cybersecurity best practices , tools, and training enterprise-wide.
Develop and manage system-level requirements , including SWaP-CRaM (Space, Weight, Power, Cooling, Reliability, Maintenance).
Coordinate and resolve changes to system architectures, requirements, and trade studies .
Conduct structured trade studies to evaluate cost, performance, and cyber impacts of system / subsystem designs.
Lead the creation and execution of verification plans for testing, production, and field operations.
Drive Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) efforts for integration, testing, and design issues.
Develop and assess design milestone artifacts and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs) for technical compliance.
Interface with platform-level Design IPTs on threat analysis, interface development, and cybersecurity compliance.
Evaluate emerging Cyber and C5ISR technologies for platform applicability.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
Relevant certifications or credentials (., CISSP, CEH) may substitute with experience
Minimum 7 years of experience in systems engineering, embedded systems, or cybersecurity
Active . Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience leading military or engineering development programs
Embedded system cybersecurity engineering in defense or automotive sectors
Familiarity with :
Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA)
Cross-Domain Solution (CDS) technologies
Cyber Tabletop Exercises (CTTX)
Knowledge of NIST SP 800-37 , 800-53 , and RMF compliance processes
Experience preparing :
System Security Plans (SSP)
Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms)
Other A&A documentation
Prior involvement in military vehicle system integration
Experience with :
Cyber requirement decomposition
Electrical LRUs and electronic hardware development
Cyber warfare concepts , offensive and defensive
Understanding of software and computer science principles
Familiarity with cyber physical system security
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
