As an Oncology Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to patients navigating their cancer treatment journey. Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Conduct comprehensive histories and physical exams of oncology patients
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests including lab work and imaging
  • Formulate and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising Oncologist
  • Prescribe medications and supportive therapies
  • Monitor patients for treatment response and adjust care plans as needed
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and families
  • Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams
  • Document all patient interactions accurately in the EMR
  • Participate in tumor boards and quality improvement initiatives
  • Stay current on advancements in oncology treatments

Required Skills / Abilities :

  • Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
  • Proficient in EMR systems and medical documentation
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Compassionate, patient-centered care approach
