Patient Representative

Full time – Day – 40 hours.

The Patient Representative works in conjunction with the Nursing staff and administrative staff to provide the highest level of Customer Service for the Emergency Department. This is a fast paced "patient facing" position with a diverse range of duites. The Patient Representative must be proficient in hospital services, policies and procedures. Daily task will include, but are not limited to, greeting patients, assisting in directing the flow of patients and visitors, being a source of information to patients and visitors in the waiting room, de-escalating situations as required, providing emotional support as needed to family members and patients.

Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Requires knowledge of general policies and procedures of the Patient Representative program, normally acquired over 3-6 months in position.
  • Substantial interpersonal skills need to frequently interact with patients, families and medical staff.
  • Advance communication skills.
  • Knowledge of general office equipment.
