Job Summary :
We are hiring an experienced Security Project Manager to lead and oversee multiple access control and IP camera integration projects across K-12 schools and corporate office environments. This is a short-term engagement (23 months) with the potential to transition into a contract-to-hire role based on performance and project needs. The Project Manager will coordinate with internal technicians, engineers, and subcontractors, and should have a strong technical understanding of commercial security systems including Genetec, Avigilon, Verkada, and Lenel. Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana and MS Project is preferred.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage the full project lifecycle including bidding, planning, material procurement, installation oversight, and project close-out
- Monitor project timelines, progress, and deliverables across a portfolio of ongoing work
- Lead internal and external teams including technicians, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project delivery meets quality and performance standards
- Collaborate with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to define scope and expectations
- Track and manage change orders, risks, and corrective actions
- Use project tracking tools (Asana, MS Project) to stay on top of schedules, budgets, and system updates
- Conduct weekly project reviews including field metrics, invoicing, AR, and project health updates
- Maintain system accuracy across documentation (proposals, POs, contracts)
- Oversee final system delivery including access control and video surveillance functionality
- Provide input on commissioning and programming when needed
Required Experience & Skills :
5 years of project management experience in commercial electronic securityHands-on knowledge of access control and video systems including Genetec, Avigilon, Verkada, and LenelProven ability to manage multiple concurrent projectsStrong team leadership and subcontractor coordination skillsProficiency with project management software (Asana, MS Project, or similar)Understanding of the full installation lifecycle from rough-in to commissioningPreferred Qualifications :
PMP or equivalent certificationExperience in K-12 and corporate office security projectsCollege degree or associate degree in related field preferredKnowledge of structured cabling, fiber, or integrated building systemsOSHA 10 / 30 and manufacturer certifications (e.g., Genetec, Avigilon)Additional Requirements :
