Opportunity Overview :

The Senior Software Engineer plays a crucial role as a technical contributor, focusing on the development and enhancement of our telemetry and observability capabilities. This position requires expertise in Java or Golang programming, along with a comprehensive knowledge of observability tools and best practices. Familiarity with solutions such as Datadog, ElasticSearch, Prometheus, and Grafana is essential for success. The ideal candidate will excel in instrumenting applications, gathering and interpreting telemetry data, and utilizing these insights for significant system enhancements. Experience in building event-driven applications is highly desirable. This role involves writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code while contributing to architectural decisions and mentoring fellow engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.

This position operates in a flexible work environment, requiring in-office presence 4 days per week in one of the following locations : San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, or Charlotte, NC. Please note that relocation assistance is not available.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, code, and test complex technical solutions across various technologies, including emerging ones, integrating existing systems and tools.
• Lead code and design reviews, providing updates to stakeholders for smooth operations and accurate planning.
• Develop sophisticated algorithms to address business needs.
• Investigate and resolve complex application and system issues, directing troubleshooting of end-to-end solutions.
• Mentor engineers and guide them in design, development, and system maintenance; review teammates' code for quality.
• Shape the future architecture and quality standards of the specific domain while understanding and measuring overall solutions.
• Identify system performance issues, including technical debt, and optimize solutions accordingly.
• Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in line with risk and compliance policies.

Compensation : The salary range for this position is $114,080.00 - $218,030.00. Actual salary may vary based on location and experience.
