Technology in Action As our IT Systems Administrator, you’ll support both on-premises and cloud infrastructure across multiple offices and 30+ active project sites. You’ll work closely with the IT Infrastructure Manager, project teams, and leadership to maintain secure, high-performing systems while driving improvements in automation, efficiency, and resiliency. We’d Count on You To :

  • Support Azure infrastructure including Virtual Servers, Storage Accounts, Firewalls (Palo Alto Networks and Meraki), Veeam for M365, Veeam for Azure, Virtual Networks, Routing Tables, Azure Virtual Desktop, Scaling Plans, and more.
  • Support on-premises infrastructure including Meraki MX Firewalls, MS Switches, MR Wireless Access Points, MT Sensors, and MV Cameras; Pure Storage SAN; HPE c7000 blade servers running VMware ESXi; and monitor UPS and generator systems.
  • Support infrastructure for Grand Rapids, Detroit, and Columbus offices plus 30 remote project sites.
  • Support infrastructure for disaster recovery site where on-premises virtual servers are replicated.
  • Support Cortex XDR and Cisco Umbrella security platforms.
  • Manage hosted VoIP phone service.
  • Evaluate system and hardware requirements for varying levels of computing.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and decommission physical and virtual devices.
  • Construct and distribute software stacks (operating systems and applications).
  • Handle escalated issues and provide advanced support to resolve complex technical problems for end-users and administrators.
  • Ensure consistent documentation of all infrastructure systems and procedures.
  • Develop tools (scripts / programs) for system maintenance, monitoring activities, and automation.
  • Improve upon and create automated setup of systems.
  • Seek and act on new threat or vulnerability information.
  • Perform root cause analysis and determine solutions to complex issues.
  • Participate in continuous cross-training to ensure full serviceability of resources.
  • Seek opportunities for continuous learning and growth of skills related to this position.

What Experience You’ll Bring :

  • At least 5 years of progressive responsibility supporting both on-premises and cloud-hosted network resources.
  • Prior Windows Systems Administrator experience required.
  • Technical skills in Active Directory, Entra ID, VMware, Hyper-V, SharePoint Online, disaster recovery
  • High attention to detail with excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently when needed.
  • Preferred :

  • Experience with enterprise security tools, firewalls, and storage systems.
  • Familiarity with IT requirements in construction or field-based environments.
  • Scripting skills (PowerShell or similar).
