Job Description

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for ground-up residential, commercial, and mixed-use construction projects. Analyze project specifications and blueprints to determine project requirements. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to ensure accurate bid submissions. Assist in negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable terms. Maintain and update cost databases for materials, labor, and other project expenses. Monitor project costs and provide regular updates to stakeholders. Identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Ensure compliance with industry standards and company guidelines in all estimates. General knowledge of Building and Construction codes.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Construction Estimator should have : proficiency in creating hard bid and negotiated estimates for construction projects; strong background in ground-up residential, commercial, and mixed-use construction projects; excellent analytical skills and attention to detail; ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients; knowledge of construction standards, materials, and methods; proficiency in relevant estimating software and tools; strong written and verbal communication skills.
