LIFEWISE SUBSTITUTE TEACHER

Overview

As a LifeWise Substitute Teacher in the East Valley School District program, you will demonstrate Bible knowledge and teaching abilities. Our ideal candidate is an active church member with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is caring, perceptive and proficient in teaching children.

Qualifications and Experience

✦ A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the "What We Believe" section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

✦ Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the "What

Job Description

✦ Teach LifeWise Classes on an as-needed basis

✧ Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher

✧ Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures

✧ Follow the program student discipline policy

✦ Maintain Records

✧ Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to LifeWise Program Teacher

✦ Maintain Classroom

✧ Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom

✧ Know procedures for emergency situations

✦ Communicate

✧ Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community

✧ Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and utilize them when necessary

✧ Communicate with the program teacher

✧ Promote and communicate LifeWise's religious mission in all duties and interactions, ensuring alignment with the organization's core values and beliefs

✦ Optional Duties

✧ Complete the LifeWise Teacher Certification course

✧ Participate in the annual LifeWise Summit

✧ Attend virtual monthly LifeWise Teachers' Lounge meetings
