Health and Safety Trainer

The Safety & Training Coordinator is a management support position within the Health & Safety Department, reporting to the Health & Safety Manager. This position supports the operation of a foundry. Applicants interested are expected to know the principles, values and behaviors of the McWane Compass.

Responsibilities Include :

• Implements and administers the health and safety training program.
• Develops and maintains training content, testing and materials needed to comply with company policies / procedures and regulatory standards.
• Develops and maintains a training schedule for all employees.
• Evaluates effectiveness of health and safety training and identifies and implements improvements as needed.
• Implements and administers the health and safety orientation program for new employees and contractors.
• Maintains all training documentation.
• Monitors and supports health and safety training requirements to ensure completion.
• Conducts regular facility audits to ensure compliance with company training requirements, policies / products, and regulatory standards.
• Provides direction and leadership for the facility in PPE and JSA management.
• Manages corporate training reporting requirements.
• All additional environmental duties as needed, as directed by the Manager.

Qualifications

Desired Qualifications :

Fluency in Spanish a plus

Work Environment : Heavy Industrial Setting will be involved in working around molten metal.

Physical Demands : Standing and walking for long periods of time, work that may involve lifting to 25 lbs., and operating mobile equipment.

Position type and expected outs of work : Full time hours typical work schedule is 7 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM additional hours as needed and schedule subject to change.

Travel : Occasionally
