The Operations Coordinator supports the finance and human resource functions of Citizens Church through recurring tasks, projects, staff training, communications, documentation, scheduling, and reconciliations. This role requires someone who is passionate about the impact of ministry in the church, administratively gifted, and experienced in operational activities. Deliverables and tasks in this role vary in scope and rhythm.

Finance
Support the annual audit by providing documentation and proof of complianceSupport budget creation by preparing materials, training new users, and coordinating collaborationOversee the accounts payable process, including coordination with accounting partners and support for staffProcess weekly on-site contributions and provide support to donorsPrepare and communicate monthly giving and financial resultsSchedule and support the Elder Finance Committee meetingHuman Resources
Administer, communicate, and provide training for benefits planProvide employee support for medical plan as neededProcess deductions, compensation changes, and bi-monthly payrollSupport staffing through recruiting, onboarding, and offboardingTrain, launch, and track annual and mid-year performance reviewsGeneral
Manage relationship, setup, and configuration of HR & Finance platformsReview and update policies and procedures regularlyTrain employees on processes, policies and proceduresSTAFF REQUIREMENTS
Spend regular time in the WordPray for Citizens Church and its peopleAttend all-staff meetings and eventsSupport other ministries and attend church anchor eventsAttend regular one-on-one meetings with direct supervisorSPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree preferredHR and / or finance experienceAbility to communicate effectively (verbal, written, etc.)Able to indirectly lead leadersProficient in administrative systems and platforms (e.g. Google Drive, etc.)Able to make decisions, problem solve, manage conflict, and work well on a teamSelf-starter, learner, flexible and adaptableDemonstrate good time managementFlexible schedule, including some nights and weekends
