Summary / Objectives

The Data Analyst is responsible for supporting data analysis, reporting, and process improvement efforts of the Consumer Credit Administration Division. This role focuses on developing and maintaining data models, creating accurate and insightful reports, optimizing SQL queries, and delivering reports / dashboards that drive business decisions. The position requires proficiency in Snowflake, MS SQL Server, Power BI, and Excel and involves working with internal partners across the organization, including Consumer Banking, Premier Private Client Group, Consumer Loan Closing, Operations, Compliance, Risk / FIU, Human Resources, and Information Technology. The Data Analyst will assist with consumer loanrelated projects, internal and external audits, data cleanup efforts, and process improvement initiatives. The role will also be responsible for gathering and validating data, building recurring and ad hoc reports, and helping maintain the integrity and accuracy of consumer loan data.

Essential Functions

  • Develop a deep understanding of consumer loan data to support reporting, analytics, process improvements, and business initiatives.
  • Create, maintain, and optimize reports and dashboards using Snowflake, MS SQL Server, Power BI, and Excel.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and IT teams to gather requirements, design reporting solutions, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Execute standard data refresh cycles and ensure data accuracy in recurring reports.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving data systems, including integrations with enterprise applications such as the Data Warehouse.
  • Produce ad hoc reports for loan-level data as requested by leadership or in response to audit and regulatory needs.
  • Participate in data cleanup efforts and process improvement projects.
  • Support system upgrades and releases through data validation, testing, and documentation.
  • Identify missing, invalid, or inconsistent data and work with business teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Review and analyze departmental reports to identify trends, risks, or process gaps.
  • Document data sources, report logic, and business rules for consistency and repeatability.

Competencies

  • Strong SQL skills and experience with Snowflake, MS SQL Server, Power BI, and Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large datasets.
  • Ability to clearly explain data findings, metrics, and calculations to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with consumer banking and consumer credit business processes.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and actionable insights.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and ethical data practices.
  • Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements

  • Education : Bachelor's Degree required
  • Experience :
  • 2+ years of experience building advanced reports in Business Intelligence and Visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and / or ThoughtSpot.

  • 2+ years of experience with SQL and similar database query tools.
  • Knowledge : Excellent interpersonal and computer skills; ability to manage multiple complex projects with overlapping deadlines, Strong organizational skills, careful attention to detail. Knowledge of Fiserv Premier and consumer products and services in the banking industry is a plus.
  • Training Requirements / Classes

    On the job training and any additional training, as needed. Required annual compliance training.

    Physical Demands / Work Environment

    Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, and reports.
