Aircraft Mechanic 1

The Aircraft Mechanic 1 maintains and troubleshoots SOF specific MH-6M aircraft as it pertains to electrical and avionics systems, sub-systems, communications, navigation systems, weapons, and aircraft survivability equipment.

Responsibilities

• This mechanic will be required to repair and replace aircraft wiring, replace aircraft components, and trouble shoot aircraft electrical systems as needed or as instructed in technical publications and IETMS.
• The mechanic will need to be able to use a multi-meter as well as other standard avionic test sets to maintain and trouble-shoot aircraft systems.
• This worker reads schematics, interprets maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and methods of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
• This mechanic must be able work independently during travel and while at home station performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
• This mechanic must be able to perform administrative actions when it comes to aircraft forms and records on systems being utilized by the organization.
