Are you prepared to motivate and lead young musicians in Washington, D.C.? The Leaders of Tomorrow Youth Center seeks a committed Marching Band Instructor to play a crucial role within our team. Responsibilities will entail leading rehearsals, organizing performances, and instilling discipline and teamwork among our students. Compensation : $35 - $40 hourly

Responsibilities :

• Develop engaging and effective lesson plans for marching band rehearsals and performances to facilitate student learning and mastery of musical pieces and marching formations.
• Offer guidance and constructive feedback to students to support their musical and marching skill development and growth as musicians and performers.
• Coordinate and supervise marching band practices and performances to ensure seamless execution of routines and successful outcomes.
• Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to plan music selection and marching routines for a cohesive and synchronized marching band performance.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress regularly, providing updates to parents and school administration to track development and communicate achievements and areas for improvement.

Our arts education instruction includes dance, theater, music, visual arts, media arts, creative writing, STEAM, culinary arts, Yoga, martial arts, and gardening.
