Our Sr Education Coordinator is responsible for project managing all elements of an assigned project area such as the Surgical Conference and other events, the Continuing Education application process, webinars, speaker coordination, poster presentation, etc. They will work in collaboration with members of the Perioperative Education team and external stakeholders, proactively communicating status updates and assuring timely & efficient completion of multiple projects simultaneously. The Sr Education Coordinator is also responsible for coordinating reports and completing administrative requirements for each project they are managing. The Sr Education Coordinator provides high level administrative support, project management and documentation for the development of education products, recordkeeping requirements, and the Association's committees and other programs / projects as needed.

Manages and coordinates the organization and administration of all phases of the education project, including the planning, implementation, and evaluation for assigned AORN continuing nursing education activities which are offered in various modalities.Accurately enters all information into related systems or spreadsheets with the ability to run reports out of the systems.Identifies and requests required documents from faculty, speakers, presenters and subject matter experts within established timelines for projects.Works collaboratively with appropriate individuals to identify education project timelines and communicates to the supervisor any potential risks related to the Project.Analyzes work processes and works with the Perioperative Education team to develop improved processes for workflow, quality of services, and operations as they pertain to education activities; documents processes to ensure consistency across the team.Analyzes systems used to develop, implement, and evaluate educational activities to identify ways to automate process; collaborates with IT to identify the business rules for automated processes.Responds to questions from consumers of AORN education products and services.Effectively addresses issues as they arise and escalates concerns through the appropriate channels when necessary. Tracks expenses against assigned budget.Supports volunteer committees and groups assigned to education team nurse liaisons by tracking meetings, minutes, recording, running reports, managing attendees and activities as identified.The following outlines the specific areas of focus for AORN's Sr Education Coordinator position :
ANNUAL CONFERENCE, EXECUTIVE SUMMIT, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT SUMMIT, POSTER DISPLAYS, INTERNATIONAL SUMMIT
This Sr Education Coordinator is responsible for the organization & coordination of multiple complex multi-day, multi-track continuing education events, including the Expo poster displays. They coordinate a high volume of events, and partners with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and automation.
VIDEOS, WEBINARS, PERIOP 101, LMS, ASC
This Sr Education Coordinator is responsible for managing the execution of projects such as rolling out online education, webinars, Periop 101 revisions and Administrator / user support, content update & reporting for the Learning Management System and the ASC Administrator skills course. They have a lot of contact with customers and writes instructional and other materials related to assigned projects.
CONTINUING EDUCATION APPLICATION PROCESS
This Sr Education Coordinator is responsible for the continuing education application process, applying knowledge of ANCC criteria to ensure approval. They act as liaison to the Continuing Education committee and also organizes and packs materials for the Annual Conference.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience may substitute for the education.3 years of experience as a Project Coordinator, Project Manager or related position.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working in the healthcare industry.Experience working for an association or non-profit.Experience coordinating virtual or in-person events.Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) in a professional setting.Experience in liaising with committees and coordinating all aspects of committee meetings.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to quickly understand the range of AORN products and events.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate several projects with multiple timelines.Expertise with database management.Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.Excellent spelling, proofreading and editing skills.Ability to compose letters, analyze data, run reports, take minutes and organize electronic and paper filing systems.Strong interpersonal skills with special emphasis on customer service, problem solving and decision making.Ability to work in a team environment, yet function independently, good decision-making skills.Fluency with Zoom, Microsoft Office Suite including Teams and Excel.Proficiency and / or willingness to learn other systems as necessary (virtual meeting software, Cadmium, etc.).Ability to demonstrate and hold others accountable for organizational values of : Innovation, Communication, Quality, Diversity, Equity and inclusion, and Achievement.Here are some of the excellent benefits we offer and why it's so great to work here!
