Job Summary :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven Operations Specialist to support and optimize our multilingual content production. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing translation workflows, coordinating with linguists, and operating within a Translation Management System (TMS). This role ensures smooth execution, quality control, and timely delivery of translation and localization projects across multiple global teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage end-to-end translation and localization workflows, including intake, assignment, review, and delivery.
- Operate and maintain the organization's Translation Management System (TMS) to ensure data accuracy, workflow automation, and efficient job routing.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, translators, and reviewers to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
- Monitor project performance, track KPIs, and prepare weekly operational reports.
- Identify bottlenecks in translation processes and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain and update translation assets, including glossaries, style guides, and Translation Memories (TM).
- Support onboarding and training for new linguists and vendors on systems, workflows, and quality expectations.
- Assist with troubleshooting system issues and partnering with IT or TMS vendors for resolution.
- Uphold quality standards through adherence checks, terminology consistency, and process compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Localization, Business Operations, Communication, or related field.3+ years of experience in translation operations, localization coordination, or related roles.Strong proficiency working with Translation Management Systems (e.g., Smartling, Lokalise, XTM, Memsource, SDL Trados, Smartcat).Understanding of translation workflows, localization best practices, file formats, and quality assurance steps.Excellent organizational and operational skills with strong attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional global teams.Familiarity with CAT tools, terminology management, and localization technologies is a plus.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with automated workflows and API-based integrations within a TMS.Basic understanding of HTML, XML, JSON, or other structured content formats.Experience working with global content teams or localization vendors.Knowledge of Agile workflows and project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello).
