DNP Academic Services Coordinator
The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), School of Nursing (SON) is currently recruiting for a DNP Academic Services Coordinator to support the Office of Records and Registration in the Office of Student and Academic Services. The Academic Services Coordinator is responsible for academic programs, including DNP (doctorate nursing practice) clinical placements, recruitment activities and events, marketing, application assessment, and support to the faculty. This position will assist course scheduling, registration processes, advisor assignments, reports, and is responsible for planning, trend analysis, and environmental scanning.

Essential Functions :
- Supports a variety of day-to-day operations of an academic program in a school, department, or division, or specialty programs.
- Assists with the coordination of administrative activities of the academic program, such as Doctoral or Graduate programs, with interrelated activities of other programs, departments, or staff to ensure optimum efficiency and compliance with appropriate policies and procedures.
- Assists in the development, and creation of program coursework communications and promotional literature for distribution, such as newsletters, brochures or flyers. Ensure materials for each class are available to faculty members.
- Receives, screens, and responds to inquiries by providing general information about the program.
- Assists with composing and editing documents such as class materials, handouts, syllabus, program and marketing materials to ensure they meet University standards.
- Reconciles departmental budgets and oversee payment of all departmental expenses including payment of student workers, guest artists, guest speakers, departmental and office supplies, etc.
- Serves as a liaison between students, residents, or faculty and department staff regarding payroll, benefits, reimbursements, and other administrative matters. Assists with travel, housing, and visa requirements.
- Provides administrative support to the assigned department, school or program with recruitment, selection, admission, registration, and orientation.
- Assists with program evaluation activities and recommends ways to efficiently utilize space, equipment, and personnel resources.
- Provides administrative support for academic programs including maintaining the calendar and scheduling meetings, responding to emails, answering and screening calls, preparing correspondence and reports, and maintaining department files.
- Assists with developing student experiences by arranging extracurricular seminars, study sessions, or workshops.
Minimum Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor's degree.Experience : Prior related administrative experience in which program coordination is the primary responsibility.Other : Clery act designated job as campus security authorities (CSA) member and will comply with Clery Act requirements.Preferred Qualifications :
Prior clinical placement experience.Prior hands-on experience in a comprehensible service-learning environment and work with graduate and professional students is highly desired.Open and committed to supporting operations during non-standard hours (nights and weekends) when needed.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
