Job Summary
CEC Controls is looking for a engineering systems designer who can perform the design of controls systems from start to finish, including troubleshooting, field startup and commissioning related to implementation in the automotive and manufacturing industries. Experience in industries related to automotive are a priority. This position will be assigned to the Warren, MI office site however there will be opportunities to work from home. Site presence will be expected during commissioning and standby phases.
Responsibilities :
- Performing Design of Automation control systems, requirements which will include :
Review specifications and standard practices
Follow internal and customer standards as requiredEstablishing non-standard logic and designs as required
Create system map layouts, sequence of operations, drawing packages, write PLC logic, and develop HMI screensWrite and edit PLC programs including : I / O mapping, network diagnostics, conveyor control, routing and tracking, HMI FIS and IIOT fault messages and moreAble to self-check PLC programs, such as verify all I / O is used, step by step conveyor sequence is correctSpecify panel and field material by creating Electrical Bill of Material's (EBMS's)Work with Management and Project Management to develop and maintain scheduleAttend meetings with some interaction with customersField duties and responsibilities include :Assisting in installation oversight
Start-up and Debug at customers facilitiesExperience with VFD / Motor tuning, torque proving and point to point operation is a plusLaunch support and Standby support (post commissioning)Work with project managementRequirements :
Education : Relevant bachelor’s or associate degree in related engineering or technology field, or equivalent relevant work experience with a technical degree.1+ years of industry experience working for a systems integrator; must include control panel and circuit designnon-standard designs, system map layouts, sequence of operations, reviewing cycle time, studies and dimension switch layouts
