Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure Manager Of Engineering
Building off our Cloud momentum, Oracle has formed a new organization - Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure. This team will focus on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health, while building out a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. This is a new line of business, constructed with an entrepreneurial spirit that promotes an energetic and creative environment. We are unencumbered and will need your contribution to make it a world class engineering center with the focus on excellence. Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure is looking for a motivated technology leader that can inspire teams to deliver and operate best in class healthcare solutions. We're looking for a Manager of Engineering with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in distributed systems, virtualized infrastructure, and highly available services. You should be a systems generalist with a strong operational background and a proven ability to identify and prosecute opportunities that deliver customer success. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn. You will also have experience delivering and operating solutions within a Managed Services environment that manage critical client workloads.
Directs and ensures the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers. Interacts internally and externally with executive management involving negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy. Functional expertise and broad company knowledge. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development.
Responsibilities include managing the design, development, and operations of the team, recruiting and building out a capable and cohesive engineering team, driving continuous improvement, translating and messaging impactful business stories, thriving in ambiguous situations, identifying and optimizing operational performance, identifying and supporting key decision points, partnering and maintaining key relationships, and developing and monitoring metrics.
The role requires effective presence and ability to communicate and present forward looking plans to the highest levels of executives, strong technical knowledge, experience leading 24 / 7 operations teams, strong leadership capabilities, ability to learn quickly, ability to apply independent and sound business judgment, ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and 2+ years leading complex technical / engineering programs. 5+ years of relevant work experience in program and project management is also required.
