Security Officer - Campus Patrol

As a Security Officer - Campus Patrol in Corpus Christi, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned educational locations, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with students and staff, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate : $14.21 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Tue 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients, faculty, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations on campus in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and site instructions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain awareness of activity within the location.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
  • Assist with access control procedures, including verifying identification and providing directions to campus visitors as needed.
  • Collaborate with campus staff and local authorities as directed during emergencies or special events.
  • Remain visible and approachable to provide assistance and promote a welcoming environment in the educational setting.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
