20.94 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Central Area / Rockledge / Medical Examiner's Office. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m. Performs skilled office and clerical work transcribing dictated medical descriptions for autopsy reports and coordinating the inclusion of all necessary information into the autopsy reports.
REQUIREMENTS : Five (5) years of clerical experience, including two (2) years as a medical secretary and / or a medical transcriptionist. Additional qualifying education and / or experiencemay be substitutedon a year for year basis. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS : Must pass the Brevard County clerical typing test at 40words per minute.In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
