Position Title : Early Education Teacher
Location : Our Children's Place
Reports To : Lead Teacher
Position Overview : Our Children's Place is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. The teacher will plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum, foster social and emotional growth, and ensure the physical and mental well-being of all children in their care.
Key Responsibilities :
Curriculum Development and Implementation :
Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state and federal educational standards.
- Use a variety of teaching methods, including storytelling, games, and hands-on activities to facilitate learning.
- Incorporate play-based learning activities that promote cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.
Classroom Management :
Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order.Provide individualized support to students as needed.Parent Communication :
Communicate regularly with parents / guardians regarding their child's progress and development.
Conduct parent-teacher conferences to discuss student progress and any concerns.Professional Development :
Attend and participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
Stay current with educational research and best practices in early childhood education.Qualifications :
Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related fieldPrevious experience teaching in an early childhood setting.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and parents.Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift and carry children and objects up to 40 pounds.Able to sit on the floor and interact with children at their level.Perform duties both indoors and outdoors.Working Conditions :
