job_description.job_card.job_descriptionDusting and vacuuming all applicable areas Cleaning and disinfecting tables, beds, and other furniture Cleaning and disinfecting of bath and tub rooms Cleaning glass windows Cleaning refrigerators outside of dietary Restocking soap dispensers Dispose of bio-hazardous waste in the appropriate manner Gathering, sorting, washing, drying, and folding laundry Sweeping, mopping, cleaning, stripping, and buffing of allflooring surfaces Emptying trash. Assist the Director with the performance of staff evaluations, scheduling, issue resolution, and day-to-day functioning of the department. Other duties as assigned. Must be able to crouch / stoop as required. Lifting Requirements : Must be capable of lifting or carrying objects that weigh up to 45 pounds. Must be able to discern colors. Physical skills necessary to operate all equipment : must be able to stand, reach in all directions, lift and carry objects. Must have fine motor skills. Must have 20 / 20 vision (correction devices allowed) and be able to appropriately read patient information, posted materials and other written information. Must hear (correctional devices allowed) and comprehend well enough to give and receive information for appropriate completion of duties. Must be able to speak, read, write and listen in English with a skill level essential for communication in a sub-acute facility. Must have normal physical stamina. Must be able to pull or push 100 pounds. Must be able to bend and twist. Must have full use of both hands. Must be able to walk intermittently, six to ten hours per shift. 8-hour shift Day shift Holidays Night shift Weekend availability The Housekeeping Supervisor will be required to attend all in-services as required by Totally Kids Specialty Healthcare Inc. policy. Should the Housekeeping Supervisor need any time off for any specific reason (personal or otherwise), it shall be requested with a minimum of seven days’ notice. Emergencies will be dealt with according to Totally Kids Specialty Healthcare Inc. policy. At all times, the Housekeeping Supervisor will perform all duties in strict accordance with the policies and procedures as described in the facility’s Safety and Health program.

Please note : This is a temporary position for up to one (1) year , with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role based on performance and facility needs.

Position Description :
This position provides for the maintenance of a clean and odor-free environment within the facility, through the routine day-to-day management of their shift, and assists the Director with supervision of housekeepers and janitors.
Qualifications :
- Must possess a current BLSC / CPR certification at all times.
- A high school diploma is a plus.
- Possesses a working knowledge of housekeeping and janitorial procedures, and operation of related equipment.
