job_description.job_card.job_descriptionBachelor’s degree in the field of Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Environmental or Ecological Engineering, or related degree; Master’s degree preferred 5+ years of related experience with a strong background in stream and wetland restoration design preferred Microsoft Office, GIS, Rivermorph experience required Training : Rosgen Level II or higher preferred Experience with natural channel design based on Rosgen classification system Hydraulic modeling experience a plus Self-motivated and ability to work both independently and as part of a team Excellent communication skills and detail oriented Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and traverse uneven terrain Ability to travel up to 10-20% of time, including overnight stays Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Responsibilities
- Lead / Manage stream and wetland restoration design projects
- Field investigations, including but not limited to stream assessments, wetland delineations, vegetation surveys, and construction review
- Conduct project pursuit activities including marketing, proposal development, grant funding assistance, and attending / presenting at conferences
- Read, analyze, and interpret plan sheets, technical procedures, government regulations and industry standards
- Interact with clients and regulatory agencies
- Out of town / state travel will be required within the Midwestern U.S.
