The Position
In this newly created role, the Chief Human Resources Officer will provide the vision, strategy, and execution of a people first strategy to support enterprise business and care initiatives. As a member of the executive leadership team, the Chief Human Resources Officer will be responsible for establishing, operationalizing, and clearly communicating the people strategy to all levels of the organization. This role is expected to lead and redirect, as needed, the immediate objective of addressing and prioritizing top performance across each functional area and aligning the organization’s people component and total rewards to help achieve strategic objectives. Importantly, the Chief Human Resources Officer will assess and coach, making changes expeditiously, with the goal of cultivating a team capable of exceling in a performance-driven environment and capable of achieving the strategic and financial objectives of this growing, patient-centric organization.
Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate is a strategic thinker, but hands-on, providing a broad range of generalist support. This leader will coach and counsel team members on the interpretation and application of company policies and procedures, state and federal laws, and other regulatory standards.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Day to day operations of human resources, including all functional areas and management of a team of 3 HR leaders
- Serving as a business partner with leadership and employees
- Partnering with the executive team to launch and update performance management tools, templates, and systems
- Addressing employee relations issues including disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
- Reviewing and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommending best practices, supporting development, implementation and revision of personnel policies and procedures
- Managing the firm’s compliance with employment law and regulatory matters
- Leading all employee onboarding, needs assessment, and training
- Creating and documenting various HR policies
- Managing employee relations and enterprise-wide communication on HR matters
- Conducting compensation analysis
- Maintaining HRIS, employee files, records, claims, and documentation
Developing a proactive pipeline of talent, and maintaining acute awareness of the organization’s anticipated human capital needs, as indicated by the strategic plan, M&A activity, and competitive landscapes in the market

The Chief Human Resources Officer demonstrates proficiency in the design and execution of contemporary best practices in each segment of human resources. This leader will be a change agent, operating with urgency, setting a clear vision and roadmap for driving the organization forward. With a quantifiable track record of success in high-accountability, fast-paced environments, this dynamic leader possesses the knowledge, skills, and ability to lead the human resources function of the organization, within boundaries of the corporate mission, vision, and core values. These competencies include, but are not limited to, the following :
