Mortgage Loan Underwriting Team Lead

The Mortgage Loan Underwriting Team Lead assists the Underwriting Manager in pipeline management and leads a team of Underwriters. The Underwriting Team Lead is to handle all urgent questions and help train new employees.

Qualifications of a successful candidate include :

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) with 4 years' experience in the industry is required
• Prior underwriting background with Non-QM experience required
• Extensive knowledge of department processes
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Strong computer skills
• Extreme attention to detail and high work ethic
• Knowledge of loan guidelines to include, but not limited to, FHA Streamline and VA IRRLS, Conventional, FHA, VA, VHDA, and USDA mortgage loans

Compensation for positions is based on the specific position and may be paid in the form of an hourly wage, overtime, a semi-monthly salary, commissions, or a combination of them.
