Job Description

This position is primarily responsible for painting steel pipe in a yard environment using air spray guns and other painting tools. The Mobile Yard Painter ensures that pipes are coated, stenciled, and marked according to specifications.

Responsibilities :

Spray paint and coat steel pipe using air spray guns per specifications

Follow verbal and hand-signal instructions for identifying pipe to be painted or moved

Assist with loading product onto trucks and applying strapping or padding to prevent damage

Apply caps, stenciling, and banding to pipe as needed

Observe all safety precautions and wear appropriate PPE at all times

Maintain housekeeping in assigned work area and assist in other departments as needed

Qualifications and Requirements :

Experience using an air spray gun for painting

Ability to work a 50-hour week and extended hours as needed

Able to pass a background check and drug screen

Stable work history, preferably in an industrial or outdoor environment

Reliable transportation and strong work ethic

Willingness to cross-train and follow safety policies and procedures

Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team

Ability to drive a truck is preferred

The base pay range for this position is $16 to $18 per hourhourly, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
