Medical Billing Specialist

A company is looking for a Medical Billing Specialist (REMOTE). Key Responsibilities Analyze and evaluate Veterans Administration claim payments for compliance with state fee schedules Research and acquire medical records to support hospital claims for prompt reimbursement Conduct follow-ups with payers to ensure claims have been received and facilitate reimbursement Requirements and Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred 2-4+ years of experience in healthcare billing or collections 2+ years of client-facing / customer service experience 1+ years of experience with VA billing and collections required Intermediate understanding of insurance claims processing and government veteran benefit programs
