Job Summary :
The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data integrations, pipelines, and solutions to support enterprise data needs. This role will focus on working with internal and external datasets , ensuring reliable access, transformation, and delivery for reporting and analytical consumption. The engineer will contribute to large-scale, complex projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with business partners to deliver high-quality, reliable data solutions. Key Responsibilities :
- Drive and manage large, complex data engineering projects independently.
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work to ensure best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business partners on data / reporting requests.
- Design, develop, implement, optimize, and maintain data integrations and pipelines.
- Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models and document data processes.
- Debug and resolve issues in data solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Apply data modeling, advanced mathematics, and statistical methods for data analysis.
- Support both real-time and batch data processing, including event streaming with Kafka or Azure Service Bus.
- Communicate technical findings and translate data into accessible insights for stakeholders.
- Follow agile methodologies and DevOps best practices in solution delivery.
Required Experience :
years in data engineering, architecture, and integration.years in Java development (Java +), JEE, Spring Framework, Hibernate, Maven, Git, Jenkins.Proficiency in JDBC Template, JPA, Springboot, Ehcache, SQL, and REST.Proven experience working with Azure platforms for storage, transformation, and integration.Expertise with relational, NoSQL, and hierarchical data modeling.Experience building and optimizing real-time or near-real-time data integration solutions.Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for enterprise data solutions.Nice-to-Have Experience :
Azure DP- (Microsoft Certified : Data Engineer Associate) or equivalent certification.Experience with Apache Kafka or Azure Service Bus.Experience with event-driven and streaming architectures.Insurance industry background with product knowledge.Required Skills :
