Job Title

Maintenance and management of organizational data assets.

Specific responsibilities include :

  • Collects or receives data from disparate sources.
  • Works with data providers to improve data management workflow.
  • Develops and executes standard or custom queries or reports to retrieve data as required.
  • Manages ongoing communication between clients, stakeholders, and internal resources.
  • Takes ownership for maintaining data acquisition, accuracy, and storage tools.
  • Develops and reviews energy consumption baselines and adjustments through regression analysis and other appropriate methods.
  • Assists in the development of requirements and the testing of new software tools.
  • Works with clients and utility representatives to obtain access to historical and current utility data.
  • Reviews utility invoices for errors and disputes errors with the utility on behalf of the client. Researches utility rate changes and deregulated energy cost trends.
  • Creates utility consolidations based on available data including identifying gaps needed to be resolved.
  • Performs the assigned duties with minimal supervision, while working in a team problem-solving environment.

  • Other duties as assigned / required.

This position is Full-Time, Non-Exempt, and reports to the Utility Analyst Lead.

Required education, experience, and qualifications include :

  • 0-2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft applications.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Statistical knowledge.
  • Technical expertise.
  • Computer skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Highly organized.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
  • Preferred qualifications include :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Math, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience with database queries.
  • Experience with commercial utility bill and rate structures.
  • Travel requirements include :

  • Expected to travel 10% of the time on occasion to job sites for client meetings.
  • Physical / work environment requirements include :

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Climbing stairs.
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often kneeling, standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and / or fingers.
  • Quiet environment.
  • Light work that includes adjusting and / or moving objects up to 20 pounds.
