Travel Nurse Job Details

Location : Louisville, KY 40202

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (January 5, 2026 – April 6, 2026)

Shift : 6 : 30am – 7 : 00pm (12-hour day shifts)

Hours per Week : 36 hours guaranteed

Weekend Rotation : Saturday rotation every 6 weeks

Call Requirements : Minimum 40 hours per 6 weeks

Unit : 31 Operating Rooms, 1 : 1 patient ratio

EMR : Cerner

Scrubs : Provided by facility

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1740 - $1860

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Kentucky RN license (required for Kentucky nursing jobs)

BLS and NIHSS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience

Previous travel nurse experience preferred

Strong adaptability, willingness to learn, and a positive, can-do attitude

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing complex surgical procedures (neuro, orthopedic, thoracic, vascular, transplant, ENT / radical neck)

Utilize advanced surgical technology including Mako Robot, DaVinci SP & XI Robots, O-Arm, and Rosa Robot

Maintain a 1 : 1 patient ratio in the operating room for individualized care

Participate in Saturday weekend rotation and fulfill on-call requirements

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a fast-paced, academic medical center

Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work across multiple surgical service lines
