Senior Data Analyst – Cloud Data Engineering (US Remote – CST)
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our Cloud Data Engineering team. This is a critical role focused on data mapping, validation, and cross-functional collaboration. We’re looking for someone with exceptional communication skills, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders across 15 ore more enterprise wide teams and departments to drive data transformation initiatives forward.
In this role, you will :
- Serve as a liaison across several business and technical teams, translating business needs into technical requirements.
- Perform complex data mapping across 50+ relational tables, aligning source and target data attributes between legacy and modern systems.
- Write advanced SQL queries to transform, map, and validate data between systems. You’ll identify discrepancies, document gaps, and ensure clean transitions.
- Analyze, break down, and clarify ambiguous or high-level business requirements in collaboration with product owners and lead analysts.
- Drive data validation post-development : partner closely with developers and QA teams to ensure data accuracy and validate outputs.
- Utilize Excel (advanced formulas, lookups, pivot tables, etc.) and SQL extensively for ad hoc analysis and validation tasks.
- Participate in API validation efforts, helping to ensure correct and complete data transfers between systems.
- Operate within Agile / Kanban frameworks to manage workloads efficiently and transparently.

5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or Senior Analyst working with large datasets and cross-functional teams.Proven data mapping experience—ideally across 100+ tables—with strong understanding of data attribute alignment, schema translation, and data quality validation.Mastery in SQL (Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server) and Excel for data manipulation and validation.Strong understanding of how APIs validate and transfer data.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills—you should be comfortable leading conversations with business stakeholders and developers alike.Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across departments, including engineering, QA, and product management.Experience gathering requirements, breaking work into clear and trackable tasks, and seeing it through development to testing and production validation.Familiarity with Agile and tools like JIRA and Confluence.Preferred But Not Required
