GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION :
This position will assist the Dean, students, faculty, and administration within the Arts & Sciences division. The Executive Assistant will manage records and documentation, to include SACSCOC compliance, faculty educational requirements and calculating salaries, as well as yearly updates to the institutional course catalog. They will also extend additional support to all Administrative Assistants in Arts & Sciences areas.This position reports to the Arts & Sciences and exercises no supervision.
NOTE : This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.

Knowledge of : 1. Proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation; 2. Filing System maintenance, both physical and digital; 3. Proper phone etiquette. 4. Pertinent Federal and state laws, as well as college policies, rules, and regulations; Skills in : 5. The use of office software, such as Microsoft Office, Acrobat, and the Cisco IP phone. 6. Proper keyboarding at a moderately fast speed; 7. Ellucian’s Colleague navigation. 8. Outlook calendar and schedule management for the purpose of coordinating agendas and meet deadlines; 9. Professional correspondence 10. Math to check expenditures, reconcile travel, and monitor budget expenses; Ability to : 10. Learn new software and stay abreast of new software applications; 11. Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines; 12. Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; 13. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course work.
WORKING CONDITIONS :
Sedentary-desk work; occasional field trips e.g. for college or program activities. Minimal Hazard / Exposure-standard office setting. At least minimal environmental controls are in place to assure health and comfort.
QUALIFICATIONS :
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
Education : Associate Degree from an accredited college or university (a minimum of 12 college credits plus relevant work experience may be substituted for required degree)
Experience : At least two years of work experience in a clerical environment
