GFT is seeking a Construction Inspector to join our Practice or CBG Team in Fort Worth, TX! This role follows a remote work model.

What you'll be challenged to do :

Inspects and oversees construction work to ensure that procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications by performing the following duties. Performs quality control inspection activities.

This position is responsible for reporting directly to construction sites to observe and document contractor's work conforms to contract requirements, maintaining project files / documentation, compiling and calculating quantities of work performed to be used in calculating monthly contractor payments, and interacting with clients on a regular basis.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following :

• Measures distances to verify accuracy of dimensions of structural installations and layouts.
• Verifies levels, alignment, and elevation of installations.
• Observes work in progress to ensure that procedures followed and materials used conform to specifications.
• Prepares samples of unapproved materials for laboratory testing.
• Examines workmanship of finished installations for conformity to standard and approves installation.
• Interprets blueprints and specifications for Contractor and discusses deviations from specified construction procedures to ensure compliance with regulations governing construction.
• Records quantities of materials received or used during specified periods.
• Maintains daily log of construction and inspection activities and compares progress reports.
• Capable of handling small to medium projects of moderate complexity.
• Has capability to monitor several types of work activity, however not simultaneously.
• Maintain construction safety practices and work methods for compliance.
• Begins to work independently, but requires supervision.

Compensation :

The hourly range for this role is $30.00 - $40.00 dollars per hour. Hourly range is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
