Position Purpose

The Material Planner is responsible for the material planning of packaging, and purchasing supplies to support Farminas manufacturing operations. This role ensures timely, efficient, and cost-effective purchasing practices that meet internal requirements and quality standards. The Buyer plays a key role in supplier management, contract negotiations, cost optimization, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure uninterrupted production and high-quality outputs

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of material planning or procurement experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience in the pet food industry (strongly preferred).
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Familiarity with packaging materials and ingredient sourcing.
• Proficient in MS Office, Internet tools, and ERP systems (NAV preferred).
• Excellent communication, analytical, and time management skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Work on site at our Reidsville, NC Production Facility
