American Traveler is seeking an experienced Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for night shifts, requiring ARRT and BLS certifications and strong fluoroscopy and trauma experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a large hospital setting with 492 beds and Level II Trauma Center designationUnit serves both inpatient and outpatient populations, primarily adults with occasional pediatric outpatientsDaily caseload averages 40 patients, with 4 patients per hour and a 1 : 1 ratioDuties include performing diagnostic X-rays, surgery, trauma, portable, and fluoroscopy procedures; O-arm and DEXA experience preferred but not requiredUses Cerner EMR and equipment from GE, Siemens, Konica, and CarestreamShift consists of three 12-hour night shifts, Thursday through Saturday from 6 : 30pm to 7 : 00amFloating required within the main Radiology department and throughout different areas of the hospitalHoliday coverage includes one major and one minor seasonal holiday per policyWeekend rotation typically every month but may vary based on departmental needsVoluntary call shifts are availableResponsibilities include diagnostic imaging, surgery cases, trauma imaging, and portable radiography across hospital departmentsOrientation consists of an 8-hour general session plus 2-3 dayshift unit shifts with another technologistTeam-based environment with support from other technologistsScrub requirements per hospital policyCOVID-19 vaccine is not requiredCandidates must live outside a 60-mile radius from the facility\n \n Requirements\n
ARRT and BLS certifications requiredMinimum of 1 year of X-ray experience with strong skills in fluoroscopy, surgery, trauma, and portable radiographyAt least 2 years of experience with required skills for first-time travelersExperience with Cerner EMR and various X-ray equipment preferredAbility to work with adult and pediatric patientsLicense required if applicableFormer perm staff must wait six months before consideration as a traveler\n Benefits\n
