About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Service Production Planner III to support reprocessing and manufacturing operations within our Service department. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and innovative planner who excels at driving process improvements, managing cross-functional projects, and ensuring production schedules meet business goals. The ideal candidate will bring deep ERP expertise, strong analytical and communication skills, and a proactive mindset that supports continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage production planning and scheduling activities to support service and reprocessing operations.
- Lead and coordinate new product introduction (NPI) and sustaining projects from pilot through launch, ensuring manufacturability and cost-efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to troubleshoot, improve processes, and meet build targets.
- Perform capacity and demand analysis to support forecast changes and production growth.
- Maintain MRP / ERP data accuracy (SAP preferred), including parameters, work orders, and system testing (UAT).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles and best practices.
- Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks to ensure production continuity.
- Lead or support departmental and organizational projects, tracking milestones and managing scope changes.
- Develop, update, and maintain work instructions (WI) and departmental operating procedures (DOP).
- Mentor and provide tactical training to junior planners to enhance departmental capability.
- Track and analyze production and inventory metrics, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with ISO and regulatory requirements related to manufacturing and quality processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.4+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing, production planning, or supply chain operations (medical device industry preferred).Proficiency in ERP / MRP systems (SAP strongly preferred); ability to troubleshoot and support system customization.Proven experience in production planning, project management, and new product introduction (NPI).Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skillsable to present clearly to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.Flexible, motivated, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Experience operating in a regulated industry (ISO 13485 or FDA) preferred.APICS (CPIM / CSCP) or Six Sigma certification a plus.Compensation : The pay offered to a successful candidate will be determined by various factors, including education, work experience, location, job responsibilities, certifications, and more.
