Job DescriptionJob Title : Public Spaces Attendant (Custodian)Reports to : General ManagerFLSA Status : Non-ExemptLocation : On-SiteDirect Reports : NoneDepartment : Property Operations JOB SUMMARY : The Public Spaces Attendant (Custodian) is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of the hotel's public areas, laundry facilities, and exterior grounds.

This includes regular cleaning of lobbies and restrooms, assisting with laundry operations, helping prepare rooms for guest check-ins, and responding to urgent maintenance or safety situations as needed.

This role ensures a welcoming and safe environment for all guests and staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Clean and sanitize all public areas, including lobbies, restrooms, hallways, stairwells, and other shared spaces.
• Wash, dry, and fold laundry as needed to support housekeeping operations.
• Assist with preparing guest rooms for check-in by supporting the housekeeping team.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of exterior grounds (e.g., picking up trash, emptying trash cans, clearing walkways, cleaning dumpster area, sweeping entryways).
• Monitor common areas for safety hazards and report issues to the General Manager.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, including fire alarms, water leaks, electrical outages, or other urgent facility needs.
• Use cleaning products and tools safely and in accordance with training and safety guidelines.
• Perform light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, or resetting breakers as trained
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
