What We're Looking For :

You have relevant experience in maintenance or a similar field – This is a hands-on role, so previous experience is essential.
Knowledge of plumbing or electrical work is a big plus – You don’t need to be a licensed plumber or electrician, but some know-how goes a long way.
You’re dependable, safety-conscious, and work well both on your own and with a team.
About the Role :
As a Building & Grounds Repair Assistant , you’ll support our maintenance team in keeping the property safe, clean, and in top shape for our residents and staff. You’ll handle a variety of repair tasks, keep up with preventive maintenance, and respond to requests with professionalism and care.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to make a real difference in the day-to-day lives of others—especially in a setting that includes retirement, assisted living, and skilled nursing centers.
What You’ll Be Doing :
Tackle Repairs : Handle day-to-day maintenance issues across building systems, including basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general fixes.
Stay Ahead of Problems : Carry out routine preventive maintenance to catch and fix small issues before they become big ones.
Be Resident-Focused : Respond to maintenance requests from residents and staff quickly and courteously.
Keep It Safe : Follow all safety rules and protocols, especially when working with tools, equipment, or hazardous materials.
Weather Duty : Assist with weather-related tasks—like snow removal or clearing walkways during storms.
Support Security : Help keep the building secure by locking / unlocking facilities and watching over entry points.
What You’ll Need :
Experience working in maintenance, repair, or a similar field.
General knowledge of building systems and trades.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Your own basic hand tools.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stay active throughout the day.
Bonus If You Have :
Familiarity with plumbing or basic electrical systems.
Experience working in a residential or healthcare facility.
A great attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
